10 Ways to Edit your Life

Going through life there are so many moments where people want to make significant changes. It is important to edit different aspects of your life on your journey of self-improvement. I’ll be the first to admit that I have gone through many evolutions in life and have done everything in my power to embrace the fact that change is necessary. You can learn a lot about yourself while editing your every life.

So, without further ado, here’s a list of a few ways that you can do just that…

  • EDIT YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Whatever you want to do in life requires the right mindset and the right people surrounding you. Look at your friends list and evaluate your relationships with each person. Does this person have a positive energy? If they are someone who brings you down and doesn’t support you; drift away from that person in a positive way.

  • DEVELOP YOUR GOALS

Make developing your goals a constant in your life. Every week set yourself a new goal. Ensure that your goals are SMART, specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-specific. For example, you’re going to read a non-fiction book for 30 minutes every day

For this goal, the development would be that you are reading more and can change the goal post and push for 45 minutes and even 1 hour of reading time per day.

  • JOURNAL EVERYDAY

In making changes to your life, there is an increase in negative emotions and feelings. One of the ways to help navigate those feelings is to write in a journal. Journal everything you’re thankful for, write down the things that made you smile and build positive habits and associations with the changes you’re making. You can use Rediscover You ( my journaling book coming soon) as a guide to help you navigate your feelings and help with building those habits.

  • EXERCISE EVERYDAY

Imagine what you could achieve in one month if you devoted some time every day to getting some exercise. Your body and health could benefit massively from stretching, working out, improving your posture, and your overall health. For me, I started to use a stationary bike every morning as well as yoga for stretching. It’s such a simple improvement you can make to your day that has major benefits.

  • EAT A MORE BALANCED DIET

Our diet today is made up of so many processed foods. Did you know that your mood and outlook on life can be massively influenced by the food you eat? One of the easiest things you can do to upgrade your routine is to reduce junk food and focus on eating healthily every single day. Cooking for yourself also provides a sense of accomplishment and is truly a healthy hobby.

  • UPGRADE YOUR TO-DO LIST

An easy change to make is to create a daily to-do list and stick to it. I use this every day to keep myself organized, to smash my goals, and to have a clear head throughout the day. Small changes have a big impact as time goes on and having that list every morning allows you to be steps closer to smashing your goals. ( Plus writing on pretty stationery just makes it even better)

  • SWAP ENTERTAINMENT FOR EDUCATION

Instead of sitting in front of the TV and watching Netflix, why not enroll in a course, go outside into the evening air, or find a better use for those wasted hours. If you’ve got goals to smash (like working out) the evening is a perfect time to work on them. Try it for 30 days and see what happens. Not convinced? One research study indicates that most wealthy people watch television for an hour or less per day.

  • UPGRADE YOUR SELF-CARE ROUTINE

You need to start taking self-care seriously if you want to make changes to your life. Develop a self care routine that works for you for when you need it . Massage, yoga, a face mask, a bubble bath, working out, all of these things count as self-care. Anything that boosts your self-esteem and makes you feel good should be part of your routine.

  • AT LEAST 3 WORKOUTS A WEEK

Choose your best days, for example, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and go for a run, jump, go for a swim, whatever you need to do to move your body is worth it. Working out is not just about looking good, it’s mostly about feeling good – and the more you work out, the better you’ll feel.

  • WORK ON SOMETHING THAT’S JUST FOR YOU

Finally, you need to work on something that’s just for you every single day. Are you writing a book? Studying a new language? Training yourself to lift weights? Whatever it is, know that the next thirty days are yours to make it happen. So be sure you’re working on something for yourself every single day.

All my love
